An Evening with Glenmorangie

On November 17, 2010 Davidoff of Geneva, Columbus Circle is very excited to invite you to a special evening with Glenmorangie.  David Blackmore, Master Brand Ambassador for Glenmorangie and Dr. Bill Lumsden, Master Distiller for Glenmorangie and Ardbeg will lead us through an unbelievable evening of tasting!




 We'll taste our first whiskey of the evening and accompany it with a small Davidoff cigar in the Lounge at Columbus Circle beginning at 7:15pm.


  Around 8pm, we'll extinquish our cigars and head upstairs to Michael Lomonaco's Porterhouse restaurant for an incredible dinner and a flight of Glenmorangie Whiskeys.  Dr. Lumsden and Mr. Blackmore will help lead us through the range of drams.  At the conclusion of dinner, we'll make our way back to the Lounge at Davidoff for the final whiskeys and will once again offer appropriate accompaniment via Davidoff's cigar portfolio.

Avo Uvezian's 83rd Birthday Party at Davidoff of Geneva, Madison Avenue

On Monday, March 16, 2009, over sixty cigar enthusiasts joined us at the Madison Avenue store to celebrate Avo Uvezian's 83rd Birthday. In his signature white Brioni Suit and straw hat, Avo was his gracious enthusiastic self, signing boxes of his brand new Avo Companeros and posing for pictures. An incredible dinner was prepared and served by our dear friends and neighbors at Rothmann's Steakhouse and paired with wines selected by Andrew Bell , President of the American Sommelier Association. This was the very first time the Avo Uvezian 2009 Limited Edition Companeros had been smoked by the general public. More details on the cigar are below! After more than a year of work and development, the My Father "Belicoso", made exclusively for the Davidoff New York stores is now available.  This was a special project between Davidoff GM Michael Herklots, Jaime and Janny Garcia of My Father Cigar Factory, and Rich Rodenhaus and John Gonzalez of My Father Cigars.  These beautiful Nicaraguan Puros were blended to be slightly outside the classic "Pepin" experience.  Modeled after the Bolivar Belicoso Fino, at 5.5" x 52 and packaged in traditional cabinets of 50 cigars, these Campanas smoke with a tremendous creaminess while still maintaining their rich Nicaraguan character and body.
