Introducing the Bench Collection Legacy Series...

Introducing the Bench Collection Legacy Series... Sam Perry: Nat Sherman 1990-Present If you've followed the Nat Sherman story over the past 80 years, there is one resounding theme over all others to their success... Family. Nothing is more important. But family doesn't only mean the folks who's last name is Sherman. Ask any Sherman, and you'll understand immediately their profound affection and appreciation for their extended family - the hard working men and women who have gotten this brand where it is. The Nat Sherman Bench Collection Legacy Series celebrates the contributions and commitment of our most loyal employees of the Nat Sherman Store via very limited production cigars. Our first Legacy Series is The "Sam". Sam Perry joined Nat Sherman at its 711 Fifth Avenue location in late summer of 1990. He began doing maintenance and porter work in the stock room, and moved on to work in the shipping and receiving areas of the business. In 1991 the sto

Nat Sherman Bench Collection has Arrived.

Image
The Nat Sherman Bench Collection Since 1930, Nat Sherman has always strived to offer the finest goods available to our customers.  As our company and distribution grew, so too did our unique portfolio of Nat Sherman products.  From cigars to cigarettes to other lifestyle goods, each new product was a direct response to the needs of our customers. Many of our Nat Sherman products are available at Premium Tobacconists throughout the world.  However, we do have a few things that are unique only to our Townhouse Flagship store in New York City.  The Bench Collection, is an example.  The Nat Sherman Bench Collection is a series of cigars, made by different manufacturers in different countries in limited quantities.  These small productions permit the manufacturers to use rarer, more unique tobaccos since the blends don't need to be sustained for a long period of time.  When they're gone, they're gone. This latest round of Bench Collection come from the MATASA

The 2012 ProCigar festival is a few months away!  This is the fifth annual event, and every year I've been proud to host a group to share this experience with.  This year is no exception! This group is  really a special one.  It consists of friends and customers from ALL over, some who have been attending the festival since its inception, and others for the first time. We will stay as a group at "Camp David", a wonderful hotel on the northern mountain range just outside the city of Santiago, with beautiful views of Santiago and the entire Cibao Valley. http://www.campdavidranch.com/ There are incredible events and celebrations throughout the week long festival. Our group will meet in Santiago on Tuesday, February 21st.  We will offer a wonderful welcome dinner for the group at Camp David.  There is an official welcome party at the Gran Almirante, and we will help arrange transportation for those who'd like to attend. Wednesday through Friday offer different

The Nat Sherman Bench Collection Returns

Image
Since 1930, Nat Sherman has been committed to creating products in an effort to accommodate the needs of customers.  As demand increased for these products, so did distribution and availability.  Today, many Nat Sherman products are available all over the world.  However, we continue to be committed to our "local community" and develop specialty products that are exclusive to our Flagship Townhouse store. The "Bench Collection" is just such a project.  Over the past couple years, "Bench Collection" projects have been made available.  These are unique "one-off" projects, made in cooperation with industry-leading manufacturers in very limited productions. This new collection comes compliments of MATASA, the factory that has made our Metropolitan and Host series.  The four-size line is quite full bodied and sold in boxes of 20 cigars or of course individually.  Each size smokes quite differently, so be sure to try them all.  Final blend details a

Authentically Nat Sherman...

Image
In the 1950's Nat Sherman was the exclusive distributor for the Cuban Bolivar Brand throughout the United States... Well, as it turns out... we didn't sell all of them.  Take a look at this glimpse back in time:    an excerpt from our history (full history can be found here ) The 1950's... A boom time for the United States and for Nat Sherman too. The company started expanding its lines of cigars and cigarettes. The now famous Fantasia cigarette featuring colored paper wrappers and filled with an American blend rather than Cuban tobacco was introduced during the 1950's. The Cigaretello started selling exceedingly well after several Hollywood actors started smoking them (Nat Sherman had changed the blend to a much more palatable mixture). On the retail side, cigars were still sought after by many, and the retail location continued to attract people from all facets of life looking for a great smoke. And, since the company was one of only three author
